From a young age, I was deeply drawn to the concept of healing. Growing up with grandparents who were Holocaust survivors, I witnessed their struggles and emotional scars, which profoundly impacted me. This early exposure planted the seeds for my lifelong exploration into various healing practices and what truly supports those in need of healing. Along the way, I have not only committed to my own personal healing journey but also trained in several modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychedelic Integration, Pastoral Counseling, and Reiki. In addition, I practice Tai Chi and Chi Gong. While I’m not a practitioner of acupuncture or homeopathy, I have accumulated significant experience with both.
I believe that healing, personal growth, and mental health are all gradual, ongoing processes. Even when we engage in more intensive or rapid methods, such as working with psychedelics, the journey still requires patience and steady progression. My approach centers on viewing each person holistically, taking into account the individual, their community, environment, physiology, and intergenerational influences, among other factors. While my primary focus is currently through the lens of Internal Family Systems (IFS), I recognize that each person is unique and deserves a personalized approach that honors their specific needs and experiences.
I offer both one-on-one and group sessions that integrate the IFS approach alongside other therapeutic modalities. In addition to these therapeutic techniques, I incorporate guided meditation, breathing practices, and pastoral counseling to provide a well-rounded and supportive experience for healing and growth.
While I value many therapeutic modalities and deeply appreciate their contributions, I have developed a particular appreciation for Internal Family Systems (IFS) as a more holistic approach. In my experience, IFS enables clients to explore and integrate the mind, body, and spirit more deeply. This modality facilitates work with the emotional, somatic, and spiritual dimensions, fostering a more comprehensive healing process. Additionally, I have found IFS to be a highly effective model for addressing intergenerational trauma, offering a path to understanding and healing patterns that span generations. I believe IFS creates the foundation for a deeper therapeutic relationship, benefiting both the client and the therapist.
My approach to psychedelic work is grounded in a balance of enthusiasm for its potential to access and heal deep wounds, alongside a deep reverence and cautious respect for the complexity of this work. While psychedelic therapy has gained popularity and acceptance in recent years, I believe it is not suitable for everyone. Conventional therapy has much to offer, and I strongly advocate for building a solid foundation through traditional therapeutic methods as a prerequisite to embarking on a psychedelic journey. This foundation serves as a vital support system for deeply exploring the areas that need healing.
For those who feel ready for a psychedelic journey, I am here to support both the preparation and integration processes. Preparation involves helping clients clarify their intentions, practice simple techniques to use during the experience, and develop realistic expectations about what may or may not arise. Integration of a journey involves processing and understanding the experience while extracting specific, achievable goals based on what emerged during the journey. This ensures that insights gained are translated into meaningful actions that can positively impact everyday life.
